“Having a suburban restaurant, especially located at a rugby club, doesn’t have to mean pub grub. Ruggers works with only fresh produce and ingredients to ensure quality family style food at a budget that you can afford.” ~ Matt Moses
Matt Moses, owner of Ruggers Restaurant and Bar, has followed in the Moses family tradition. His parents, Larry Moses and Bronwyn Tobin were the creators and owners of restaurants such as Wholly Moses, Gekkos, Breakfast Creek Wharf and Squirrels.
“I grew up in some of the most iconic restaurants in Brisbane in the 80s and 90s. Being involved in restaurants and hospitality is in my DNA. Cooking is my passion. It is what I choose to do in my downtime with friends and family.”
Ruggers is set in the history grounds of Brothers Rugby Club in Albion – the club Matt played with for many years, and has coached his sons’ teams and been an active committee member.
Ruggers brings together Matt’s passions – incredible food, community and rugby!
